    1. Re: [KYCHRIST] Looking for a Family Bible
    2. I do not know anything about the Pringle name, but I went to school with Myra and Sue Crombie and their father was Henry Harrison Crombie, who married Juanita Cannon. I know H.H. Crombie is deceased and buried in Christian Co, in McKinney Cemetery. I think his parents may be buried in Rogers Cemetery, off Hwy.91, going toward Princeton from Hopkinsville, almost to the Caldwell Co, KY line.

    2. <<Right!!! I started to type a mean note to them as it made me mad! But, I didn't becaue it would give them some sort of satisfaction.>> More important, it would give them your email address. You don't want to give that out to anybody who would add it to their list that they sell to others (as weird as they are).

    1. [KYCHRIST] Looking for a Family Bible
    2. It has just come to my attention that my great uncle was in possession of a family Bible with lots of names written in it. FRANK A. PRINGLE, single, died 13 Nov 1925, Hopkinsville, KY, buried in Riverside Cemetery Perhaps his sister may have acquired the Bible. CORA PRINGLE, never married, died 17 Feb 1953, Hopkinsville, KY Can anyone tell me if Frank and Cora had wills? Information on Cora's death certificate given by H. H. CROMBIE (Crombil). Does that name mean anything to anyone? They belonged to the Presbyterian Church. Would there be records there about funeral arrangements that I could send for or records at the funeral home, E. P. Keightley, director? Any little clue would be most helpful. People in Hopkinsville were most helpful in locating their father, John Pringle, for me a number of years ago. Does the historical society own any old Bibles? Any suggestions? I appreciate your interest. Thank you, Barbara Moll Oro Valley, AZ

    2. I enjoyed seeing the pictures since my family is from the pennyrile forest region but there was a problem with the first two pictures. The one dated 1910 w. macedonia and 1914 w. macedonia do not download. If I were not able to see the others I would say its probably at my end but the rest of them did download, so there must be something wrong at your end for those. I hope you can fix it because I would love to see the other two. Thanks for sharing I really enjoyed them and trying to find any recognizable faces of family memebers. Regards, D. Brake

    3. I have never been able to find the marriage of George Washington Hightower and Surilda Henson, probably around 1848. They were in the 1850 Christian County census, but lived near the line between Todd County and Christian County (they were always in Todd County after that date). I would really appreciate hearing from someone who might have this information. Thank you very much. Ruth Hightower Smith

Dot is sending me a copy of the marriage license. I hope that will have some information on it. It may not even be for my William. It's a guess. I only know for sure that he and Elizabeth moved their family to Fulton County, Illinois sometime after 1834. He and Elizabeth are buried in the Wiley Cemetery in Deerfield Township. Their headsones only give first names but he is buried in the Hammond plot with my Great, Great, Great Grandfather. (His son). They had 4 children that I'm aware of: Richard F., John, William P. and Eda Catherine. Richard is my GGG Grandfather. If you think they are related, I have more info. Thanks for writing, Diane

Susannah Williamson in 1810, 2. Elizabeth Hill in 1832, 3. Feraby Hamby in 1847, 4. Jenny A. F. Jones in 1852 as listed in the Christian Co., KY family history book. I have copied the above marriage cert.'s. I was confused the Elizabeth Hill marriage for Wm. states he is 21 years old and has middle initial of "P" on the back of cert. I've checked with the Garland Hill line on Elizabeth but couldn't find her. I thought Wm. P. Hammonds may be a son. The known sons of the first marriage were Thomas E., George K., and Timothy Williamson. I'm anxious for your reply especially who Elizabeth's parents were. I'm glad to share info. Nita
