B. Cansler is but it is not James Thomas Benton Cansler born 4 April 1854, son of Golden and Elizabeth Armstrong Cansler. He died 26 July 1936 and is buried in Rosedale Cem., Hopkins Co. I have a copy of his death certificate.

Surnames: McKee, Crutchfield Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/mAB.2ACE/2532 Message Board Post: Mangled and Killed Nat McKEE, one of the wealthiest and most influential farmers of Christian county, was literally blown in pieces at 10 o'clock Wednesday by a boiler explosion. A portable engine used for crushing stock was being repaired while steam was up. McKee and several negroes were standing near, when with a terrific report the boiler blew into fragments. McKEE was disemboweled and his heart and lungs torn from his body and scattered about the scene of the disaster. Jim CRUTCHFIELD, a negro man, was terribly burned and a little negro was nearly drowned. McKee leaves a wife and one child. (Source: Earlington Bee, Thur., Sept. 21, 1893)

DAVIS had been recently discharged from the force chiefly upon evidence given by WEST, and it was this that brought about the altercation and deadly use of firearms. WEST was forty-eight years old and leaves a wife and two children. DAVIS was forty years of age and has a large family. (Source: Earlington Bee, Thur., Sept. 7, 1893)
