Riverside cemetery in Hopkinsville built a chapel with "receiving vaults" to hold coffins in the winter till the weather permited a grave to be dug.

    3. Hi, Is there anyone out there who has a James Williams (born 13 June 1908 in Montgomery County, Tennessee) who married into their family. I feel he married after 1930 and I know for fact he was divorced by November of 1939 because James remarried 17 November 1939. The first marriage produced a daughter who was believed to be under the age of 5 years when James remarried. Any help would be appreciated. Mary Zaborowski

CARPENTER, Mr. Luther CARPENTER, an old resident of Fairview, Christian county, this State. Mr. CARPENTER has been an invalid from partial paralysis for about eight years, but was moved here some two months ago, to spend his few remaining days with his son. He had lived out his three score years and ten, being somewhere in the 70's at the time of his death. He leaves several sons and daughters to mourn his death, his wife having preceded him several years ago. His remains were laid to rest in the Earlington cemetery, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
