A month or so ago, I mentioned that I had purchased the Kentucky Vital Records CD's. There were quite a few of you who wrote and asked how I obtained them. Well, I found my receipt for the CD's and with it was the information for ordering. Full set of Births, deaths & marriages $30 (3 cd's) Deaths only (1 cd) $12 Births 1911-1999 & Marriages 1973-1999 (2 cd's) $24 Send desired request to: Alice Yeager Kentucky Dept for Libraries & Archives 300 Coffee Tree Road, P. O. Box 537 Frankfort, KY 40602-0537 Postage etc. is included in the cost. Be sure to say whether you want three cd's or one of the other options. Make checks payable to Kentucky State Treasurer. I am in no way affiliated with this group, I just get lots of use out of the cd's and I can work on this whether I am at home or on the road, don't have to have access to the internet at all to use them. Joseph Cavanah I have no information on him except his name as a child of David and Frances ( maybe he died while young???). Charles and Lucy in 1830 (but not in 1840)had a older lady living with them ( mother or mother in law??) , no names in Illinois in those years on census. Possibly this Frances could be a younger daughter or Frances Crump herself. I do not think she could be a granddaughter as there is a Frances listed on the first deed in 1830. ON the 1852 and 1853 deeds there is listed Frances Clark. I have her as married in Union Co., Ky. July 25, 1849 to William Clark. Martha Patsy Lisman married July 17, 1817 to John Lisman in Hopkins County, Ky. this would make her birth year around 1800 or before. So I think she would have to be a daughter, however I am open as I do not have documented proof. I guess she could be a niece or sister but she is listed as a heir on the deeds. Good to talk with you. Jerry

He is listed in their 1830,1840 and 1850 census. along with a David, Dennis, Patrick, John and Amanda. David lived there until 1878, Dennis and Patrick owned farms there but I believe died young. I do not know if they were sons, nephews or cousins. R. O. Cavanah who is my GG Grandfather and I have no proof is supposed to be a son of Charles and Lucy Owen. He is listed on the property as a heir of David Cavanah in Hopkins Co., Ky. but this David , Dennis and Patrick were not. John was not of age when the property was sold in 1852. I have not found William in their census. Jerry

They moved there to Christian then it was changed to Hopkins and later to Webster Co. The Cavanah Hill Cemetery is in Webster Co., Ky. David's land records are in Hopkins Co. and he surveyed and built roads in that county. The information on this is in their old county court records. He also did this in Chattham Co., N. C. One of the men that worked with him on this was Joseph Crump , his father in law. Frances Crump and David Cavanah were married there and some of their first children were born there. I have not seen it but Martha Crump, her mother left a will in Chattham Co. and listed Frances Cavanah ( it is not spelled this way) as a heir. I have a listing of 1895 but have no proof. Harold Cavanah who was raised and worked in Ky. is now retired in Wy. said he saw a Marriage bond in Chattham Co. and it listed David L. Cavanah as the spouse. Jerry
