Notes for ISAAC GILPIN: Resided in Winchester, Frederick Co. Va. Ostensibly served in Revolutionary War and died of small pox. No records have been found of his service. Then moved to Cambell Co., Tenn., and subsequently to Scott county, Tennessee where he was engaged in the turpentine business. He tapped pine trees to make turpentine.
