    3. 10 YEARS AGO Week of August 31,1988 Harry Evans and Jim Fehr completed filed work on a project which involved creating a detailed soil map of Casey County. The maps were to be published in 1990. Ray L. Overstreet and his family converted two acres of their farm land at the intersection of U.S. 127 and Shorttown Road into a pay lake. For a $5 fee, a visitor could fish for eight hours or until he or she caught five fish. Walls avoided being stung. Harrison Wall was paid $425 to paint the steeple of the courthouse. In doing so , he was attacked by a nest of wasps and suffered large welts on one of his legs.
