I'm looking for info on my gg grandfather John B Henson. I've been able to get dates and pension info, but his life after the Civil War is where I'm researching right now. The family story is that he became a traveling veterinarian & an herb doctor, riding his horse around the countryside. He didn't have a license and was "run out of town" then moved away and married a woman whose name nobody knows. What I'm really trying to find out is if anyone knows where I can read about the medicine practice laws of the late 1800s. Thanks Cindy
