Although this is not my direct line, James is a brother of my direct line, Uriah Ashley. John and Elizabeth Montgomery Ashley were the parents of both James and Uriah. I did not know that James went to MO but do know that Uriah and his son, Gilby, did. I still have many relatives in Missouri that came down from Gilby (possibly Gilbert) Ashley , my ggrandfather. Uriah was my gggrandfather and did not stay in MO but for one year before moving on to Texas. Again thanks. Glenda
