This Valentine Peyton was the son of Phillip Peyton and Winifred Burford. They lived in Stafford Co Va and moved to Amherst Co after Valentine was born @1749. This Valentine rec'd land for his service in the Rev War. His sons applied for and rec'd bounty land, as heirs of their father. Because Valentine was heir at law of his brother George who died in service. All these papers are in the Peyton File in the drawer at Casey Co Library. You can go there and make copies of this and much more, or you can write to the Library and they will make and send photocopies to your home address for a nominal fee.
