    3. Ruby Burnett,75 Ruby Luttrell Burnett, KY 910,Liberty,died Saturday,June 13,1998 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. She was 75 years old. Born in Casey County on Nov.22,1922, she was a daughter of the late John M. and Emma Sutherland Luttrell. She was a homemaker and member of Trinity Methodist Church in Lantonia. She was the widow of James Burnett. Survivors include three brothers, Arnold Luttrell of Liberty, Cecil Luttrell and Owen Luttrell, both of Russell Springs; and a sister, Bonnie Luttrell Weddle of Liberty. She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Albert Burnett;three brothers.Vinas,Otha and Preston Luttrell; and two sisters, Edith M. Godsey and Flossie Bryant. Funeral services were June 15 at Mc Kinney- Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Clifford Dehart officiating. Burial was in the Birdie Russell Cemetery. Pallbearers were Freddie and Truman Mc Donald, Steve and Micheal Luttrell, David Bryant and Steve Meeks. Curtis Murphy,66 Curtis Murphy of Indianapolis died Saturday, May 23,1998 in Atlanta Georgia. He was 66 years old. Born in Casey County on May 22, 1932, he was a son of Effie Hill Zimmer and the late Alton Murphy. He was retired from the railroad and a veteran of the Korean War. Besides his mother,survivors include his wife, Jean Nelms Murphy;two sons,Curtis Murphy Jr and John Murphy,both of Indianapolis;three daughters,Debra Love,Sherry Weaver and Jamet Archer, all of Indianapolis;two brothers,Alton Murphy Jr of Liberty and T.J. Murohy of Cincinnati;a sister,Cathryn Caudill of Anderson Ind;14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were June 1 in Indianapolis. Weir Marshall Clements,69 Weir Marshall Clements died Thursday,June 25,1998 at Woodford County Hospital.He was 69 years old. A native of Casey County,he was a retired U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major with 24 year's service. He was also a member of ST. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Kentucky Senior Golf Association and the Long Run Golf Association. Survivers include his mother, Essie Clements;three sons, Greg,Steveand Joey Clements;two daughters, Debbie C. Voss and Kim Clements;four brothers,Jody,Verl,Ronnie and Markus Clements;three sisters,June Miller,Shirley George and Patti George;and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services were held June 29 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Clementsville with burial in the church cemetery. Harold James Cochran,74 Harold James Cochran of New Castle Ind. died Friday, June 26, 1998 at the Prescott Veterans Administration Hospital in Prescott, Ariz. following a one year illness. He was 74 years old. Born Jan 7,1924 in New Lisbon Ind., he was a son of the late Samuel Cochran and Nettie Hughes Crochran,who survives in Campbellsville. He was a U.S.A ir Force veteran of World War II and a tool and die maker for Mc Donald Douglas in Long Beach, Calf. and the Moose Lodge in Prescott, Ariz. Besides his mother,survivor include his wife, Betty Ryerson Cochran;a son, Larry [and Debbie] Lawndale of Anaheim, Calif.; a daughter, Linda [and Val] Simpson of Victorville,Calif;six brothers,Robert,Cecil,T.C. and Gary Crochran of Franklin Ind. Estill Cochran of Cicinnati and James Crochran of Campbellsville;five sisters, Marie Foister and Delores Angel, both of Cincinnati, Lorene Webb of Franklin Ind. Joann Bowlin of Campbellsville and Barbara Roundtree of Georgetown;four grandchildren. Beisdes his father,he was preceded in death by his first wife, Eva Cochran. Burial South Mound Cemetery Anderson Indiana. Frank W. Patterson, 66 Frank W. Patterson of Franklin Ind, formerly of Casey County, died Saturday,June 27 1998 at Blooming- ton Hospital, Bloomington Ind.he was 66 years old. Born in Casey Co on Sept 27, 1931, he was a son of the late Grover and Anna Statum Patterson. He was a repairman for Sprint Telephone Co in Franklin Ind for 27 years,retiring in 1992. He was a member of American Legion Post 205 of Franklin Ind, Franklin Post 2552, a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans in Indianapolis and the Franklin Liars Club. Survivors include wife,Janice Catron Patterson;three sons,Dennis Patterson and Mark Patterson both of Indianapolis and Phillip Patterson of Franklin Ind; a daughter Connie Carwile of Pendleton Ind.; four step-daughters, Daine Issac of Columbus Ind, Beverly Skow of Thorntown Ind,,Pam Bauer of Indianapolis and Sherri Norris of Franklin; three step-sons, Steve, Barry and Rod Mc Gowan,all of Franklin;four sisters, Helen Houge of Indianapolis,Matrie Farmer of Louisville, and Margaret Pruitt and Mazie McPeak both of Franklin.;13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Burial Greenlawn Cemetery Franklin Ind. Lawrence Waller Pratt,78 Lawrence Waller "Larry" Pratt of Liberty died Friday, June 19,1998 at his home. He was 78 years old. Born in Madisonville on June 5 1920, he was the son of the late Lawrence Waller Pratt Sr and Elenora Arnold Pratt. He was a maintenance worker for Ashland Oil for years and of the Baptist faith. Survivors: wife Christine Marie Murphy Pratt,son Kenneth Pratt,daughter - in- law Alice Pratt,grandchildren; Darin Pratt,Amy Hensley and Allison Pratt;two great grandchilden,Cody and Charley Hensley, brother Paul Pratt of Arlington Va. Burial Murphy Cemetery. Pallbearers were Barry, Junior, Craig and Robby Murphy, G.B. Lanham and Earl Evans. Edna Lee Watkins, 99 Edna Lee Watkins, Taylor Street, Liberty, died Monday, June 22 1998 at her home. She was 99 years old. Born in Casey County on Sept 2 1898 she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Riley Ann Sanders Murphy. She was a former substitute teacher and insurance agent,a member of the Liberty First Christain Church and the first woman elder of the First Christian Church. She was also a charter member of the Bicentennial Heritage Corporation, Liberty Garden Club and Casey County Homemakers Club. She was a volunteer for a variety of other organizations and the widow of Willliam Moss Watkins. Survivors: three daughters, Josephine Foster of Liberty, Elizabeth Baker of Kihei [Maui] Hawaii and Sharleen Power of Richmond;son, Dr. James R. Watkins of Harrodsburg;10 grandchildren,15 great- grandchildren and two gt-gt grandchildren,nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Preston, Dr William Riffe and James Welby Murphy and a sister, Elizabeth Moser. Burial Glenwood Cemetery. George E. Haggard, 81 George Edward Haggard pf Pittsboro Ind. died Wednesday June 17 1998 at Hendricks Community Hospital in Danville Ind. He was 81 years old. Born in Casey County on June 9 1917 he was the son of the late James T. and Marie Blackford Haggard. He retired from the G.M. Allisons in Indianapolis and a member of Pittsboro Baptist Church and UAW Local 933. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Survivors: wife, Arlie Haggard,son,Ronald D. Haggard of Brownsburg Ind.,daughter,Brenda McKinney of Lizton Ind;four brothers,Eugene Haggard og Covington. Charles Haggard, Carl Haggard and Marvin Haggard all of Indianapolis;three sisters,Ann Braun and Opal Garrett both of Danville Ind,Dorothy Dodson of Brownsburg Ind.; five grandchildren and five great granchildren.
