    3. Ima Faye Emerson, 83 Ima Faye Emerson, Joe Wright Road, Liberty, died Saturday,July 4,1998 at the Liberty Care Center. She was 83 years old. Born in Casey County on April 26, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Wily and Mae Mabe Delp. She was a home maker and member of Shady Grove Baptist Church for more than 60 years. Survivors include her husband, Amos Emerson;a daughter, Lyda Caudall of Louisville; two sons, Ralph Emerson of Georgetown, Texas, and Denny Emerson of Noblesville Ind.;brother Fred Delp of Cincinnati; eight grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Donald Emerson; five brothers, Kyle, Charlie,Ray,Carl and Glen Delp;three sisters, Ethel Emerson, Edna Parson and Thelma Phillips. Funeral Services were Julu 6 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Richie Curtis officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove Cemetry. Pallbearers were Mike,Steve,Jerry and Kevin Caudill,Brandon and Jantzen Emerson and Pam Ochoa. Robert Helm,57 Robert Helm of Liberty died Friday,July 3 1998 at Taylor County Hospital.He was 57 years old. Born in Casey County on Oct 10, 1940, he was a son of Voicel Mills of Liberty. He was a former brick layer for Mills Construction. Besides his mother, survivors include a daughter, Lisa H. Brummett of Pineville;and two grandaughters, Kimberly and Felicia Brummett, both of Pineville. Funeral Sevices were JUly 6 at the Bartle Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Buel Hayes and Rev. Clifford Dehart officiating. Burial ws in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Pallbearers were Glen and Bob Mills, Johnny Oder, Bobby Brummett, Richard Lawhorn and Michael Douglas. Forest E. Patton,65 Forest Elmer Patton, of Lexington died Sunday, July 5 1998 at the Central Baptist Hospital. He was 65 years old. Born in Casey COunty on Dec 14 1932, he was a son of the late Okla and Mary Lela Ellis Patton. He was an employee of the Lexington Herald- Leader for 27 years and a member of the Salem United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife,Jeraldine Bryant Patton;two sons,Rodney Patton of Alexandria Tenn, and Forest Patton Jr of Richmond;two daughters,Debra Gukeisen of Winchester and Stacy Moore of Lexington;two brothers,Homer Patton of Newport News Pa and Herman Patton of Dunnville; a sister, Myrna Knight of Smyrna Tenn; seven grandchildren and three great-granchildren. Funeral services were July 7 at McKinney- Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Patton officiating. Burial was in Pellyton Cemetery. Matra T. Abbott,66 Matra T. Abbott of Louisville died Friday July 3 1998 at her home. She was 66 years old. She was a native of Casey County and retired form Bell South. She was a member of Westport Road Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Noel Abbott; a daughter, Aletia A. Thompson of Louisville;three sisters, Daisy Lepping of Florence, Janice Mc Clafferty of Cincinnati and Bonnie Clark of Hustonville; a brother Junius Thomas of Cincinnati;two grand-daughters,Chelsea Elizabeth and Lindsey-Taylor Thompson. Funeral services were July 6 at Pearson Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home in Louisville with burial in Floydsburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggesteed to Hospice of Louisville. Alter R. Harmon,88 Alter R.Harmon of Sugar Grove Ill died Tuesday June 30 1998. He was 88 years old. Born in Casey County on June 1 1910 he was a son of the late Jody and Tildy Harmon. Survivors include his wife, Gracie Harmon; a daughter Faye Bryant of Aurora Ill; a son-in-law Lee Crutcher of Indiana;a daughter-in-law Wanda Harmon of Ind; 11 grandchildren,24 great-grandchildren and special friends, Rev. Junior Dixon and Wayne Matkin. He was preceded in death by a daughter,Elva;a son Robert;an infant son Alter Jr; a grandson Larry; and six brothers and sisters, Eddy, Demarie,Alley,Ollie,Mary and Ethel. Funeral services were July 2 at Daleiden Lake Street Mortuary in Illinois. Burial was in Brush Creek Cemetery in Casey County. Pallbearers were David Harmon, Mike and Mark Bryant, Jerry,J.R. and Rick Cruther. Bartle Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Earnie S. Sapp, 76 Earnie S. Sapp, Tennessee Ridge Road, Liberty died Wednesday July 1 1998 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington. He was 76 years old. Born in Adair Co on Nov 19,1921 he was a son of the late John Quincy and Lillie Savannah Rich Sapp. He was a retired upholsterer and a U.S. veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church,Casey Creek Masonic Lodge 536 F&AM and Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include wife, Opal Jones Sapp;two ddaughters, Elizabeth Ann Walls of Martinsville Ind and Nancy Lee Walls of Frankfort;three sons, Douglas Earnie Sapp of Clovis, N.M., Michael Ray Sapp of Casey Creek and Cookley Dean Sapp of Danville;two step-sons,Dee Jones of Liberty and Garnett Jones of Nottingham Pa.,four sisters, Linnie Wright and Biner Hayes both of Liberty and Roseanna Adams and Verleen Adams both of Colombia;three brothers,Benjamin Sapp and Lloyd Sapp both of Louis ville, and Arnold Sapp of Campbellsville;11 grandchildren,three great-grandchildren,Three stepgreat-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by first wife Mary Willivena Wethington Sapp; a step-son Howard Jones. Funeral services were July 3 at St. Bernard Catholic Church with Father Joseph Hall officiating. Burial was in St. Bernard Cemetery. Pallbearers were Hoyt Wolford, George Walls, Chris Sapp, Mike Sapp. Matteh Sapp and Terry Helton. Honorary pallbearers were Chad Sapp,Lillie Walls, Rexie Riffe, Steve Jones and Mike Riffe.
