    3. Hi Barbee, Your surname list at the end of your post contained another name that I am researching from the Casey county KY area, Rice. Here is what I have on the Phillips and Rice families. I hope that we can make a connection. You also menitoned a will, is this for Charles Phillips and his wife Agnes (Nancy) Riley? I would "love" to have a copy of it, if it pertains to Charles. Charles Phillips was born befor 1765 married on 22 May 1782 in Rockbridge Co. VA and died 27 Mar. 1826 in Casey co.Ky. His spouse was Agnes (Nancy), I have no other information on her. Their children: Allen abt 1803, Amy, no data, Anne, no data, James b. 29 Sept 1783 m. 11 Feb 1849 Howard co. MO, unknown death date, spouses Mary "Polly" Minor, (2nd) Isabella Brinton, Mary no data, Nancy, no data, Sarah b. bef 1790 m. 14 Sept 1807 Washington co. KY d. aft 1850 to John Prewitt, then finally my line, John Riley born 10 Aug 1792 in Casey co.KY, m. 15 Aug 1822 d. 5, Sept 1887 REnsselaer RAlls co. MO, spouses, Mary Dye Greenwood & (2nd) Polly Guthrie. John's data: spouse: Mary Dye Greenwood d/o Nimrod Greenwood & Catherine Dye McMiller b. 4 July 1804 KY d. 16 July 1828 KY children: Catherine Dye Phillips b. 27 Feb 1824 Ralls co. MO m. 20 Dec 1843 Oak Forest MO. d. 23 Mar 1911 Ralls co. Mo. spouse: My line, John Wesley Phillips Mary Ann b. 21 May 1826, no other data. Children with Polly Guthrie: Elizabeth b. abt 1832 no other data, Charles H. b. abt 1836 m. 5 Dec 1867 Ralls co. Mo, to Susan Salling, Sarah b. 28 Feb 1836 (twins??) Frances Ellen b. 1841, m. 16 Nov 1865 spouse Willialm Thomas Carothers, William G. b. 2 Jan 1844 m. 30 July 1877 m. Emma Greer & (2nd) Ella Loftiss An intersting note: James Phillips, Johns brother, was married to Mary Minor, sister of George Minor who was married to Isabelle Brinton. After George's death James then married Isabelle. As to the Rice surname: This connection was through Warren county KY. Tabitha Rice was the d/o John M. Rice and Patsy (Polly) Johnson, d/o Noiel Johnson. Apparently, many of that area got together and travelled to Missouri, first stopping in Howard county, then onto Boone, although if memory serves me correctly, it was all Howard county at that point. Tabitha met and married Berryman Wren on 11 March 1818 in Warren. They came to Missouri very early in the 1820's as most of their children, if not all, were born in Missouri. Does any of this look familiar? Hopefully,we can establish a connection, looking forward to hearing from you, Sincerely, Shirley Minor Larson 11125 Main St. Apt. 5 New Middletown OH 444442 Barbee Hodgkins wrote: > >Hello Gary, > >Did you by any chance receive my earlier post?
