Hello Goode Researchers, Christy and I have just returned from Casey, Marion, and Adair Co. Wilma also came from Owenboro,Ky to Casey. Maybe we should have a Goode, Peyton, Morris, Randolph, Price roll call? We believe that Alfred Goode's first wife was Catherine Wetherington(Wethington)married 2-2-1819 in Adair Co.(child of the first wife among others was James Tilford Goode (born abt. 1826 ) Catherine d. and then Alfred mar.2nd. Mary Ward and lived in Casey . He and second wife Mary Ward, had 5 more children starting with Thomas age 5 & Ambrose age 2 on the 1850 Casey Co. census.) They also had Elizabeth, Susan and Joseph G. according to the 1860 Casey Co census. Mary Ward died sometime after 1860 Casey Co Census. He then mar. Mary Wayne in Marion Co. in 1865.(no children) My gr gr grandparents, James Tilford Goode and Mary Jane "Polly" Morris Goode, married 4th Oct 1846 in Marion Co.KY.(this according to her Widow's Pension Application affadavit) They are buried in Vandiveer Cemetary, Liberty,Ky.
