Born in Casey County on Nov.26,1918,he was a son of Tom and Vannie Buck Dearringer. Survivors,wife,Alta Bland Dearringer;son,Dwight Dearringer of Cincinnati;two daughters,Brenda Purchio of Walnut Creek Calif. and Charlene Otten of Hammersville Ohio; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son,Bruce Dearringer;two brothers,,Alvin and Elmer Dearringer; and a sister,Pauline Atwwod. Burial was in Whited Cemetery, Casey Co Ky. Marion Byrd,98 Marion Byrd of Bowling Green died Thursday,Oct 8,1998 at the Rosewood Health Care Center in Bowling Green, he was 98 years old. Born in Casey County on July 30, 1900, he was a son of the late Jake and Mary Bell Taylor Byrd and the widower of Myrtie McDonald Byrd. Survivors include a son,Otha Byrd of Liberty; nine ddaughters, Lucy Godbey of Liberty,Rosie Lampton of West Hollywood Fla., Sarah Deel of Morgantown, Ruth Regnesburger,Betty Abbey and Ardlie Cundiff,all of Ohio and Anna Flenner,Shirley Fritz and Mary Stephens oall of Louisville;a brother,Alvin Byrd of Penascola Fla.,two sisters,Nannie Tarter of Columbus Ind.,and Nancy Brown of Liberty;59 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren,nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two children,Ruby Byrd Overstreet and Sherman Byrd;a grandchild;and a brother,John Henry Byrd. Maxine W. Tomes, 81 Maxine Wells Tomes of Stanford died Friday,Oct.16,1998 at the Charleston Health Care Center,she was 81 years old. Born in Yosemite on August 23,1917,she was a daughter of the late Robert and Retha King Wells and the widow of Fred Tomes. Survivors include two grandchildren,and several great-grandchilden,nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter,Malva Hess Keltner;five brothers,Charlie,Vernon,Reed, Russell and Pete Wells; a sister,Iris Duncan; and a grandchild. James Thomas Hash, 68 James Thomas "J.T." Hash of Campbellsville died Monday Oct.12,1998 in Louisville,he was 68 years old. Born in Taylor County on July 16,1939,he was a son of Mayme Newton Hash of Buffalo and the late William McKinley Hash. Besides his mother,survivors include his wife, Pat Hash of Campbellsville;three daughters,Angie Akin and Donna Hash,both of Campbellsville and June Sooter of Lebanon;three sons,Burton T.Hash and Steve Hash,both of Campbellsville and Mike Hash of Glasgow;five sisters,Mrs.Phil [Nina] Stiles of Tempe Ariz.,Mrs.Charles[Mina] Hedgesboth of Campbellsville, Mrs.James[Billie] Salsman and Mrs.Fred [Louise] Krznarich of Buffalo; two brothers,Gowdy Hash of Buffalo and William Grant Hash of Niceville Fla; 12 grandchildren,a great-grandaughter and several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by by two sisters and an infant brother,Maggie Mae Bell,June Rose Hash and Thomas Jefferson Hash.
