Hey all: I have a question about cemeteries for y'all. My cousins (that I just met on my trip to Casey county :-) ) tell me that they think my gggfather George Turpin might be buried in Luttrell Cemetery on Merritt Ridge. I can't find a listing for him, but they said he was buried without a headstone, just a field rock. My question is, is there someone/someplace that would have records of who is buried there? How does one go about getting a plot in a cemetery like this? Is it a private cemetery? I realize that is more than one question, sorry :-) I am just curious about how these little old cemeteries operate, whether they are individually maintained and things like that.
