Hi all: I just got back from a visit to Casey County this weekend, to visit the library and to meet some of my "cousins" :) I just thought I would share this wonderful experience with you all! I was absolutely amazed with the Library, and it's resources! It did not have the particular piece of info I was looking for, but it was a veritable treasure trove for the rest of my line. I found about 2 dozen new relatives, and so many dates and verified a lot of the info I already had. It was great. Also, and perhaps the highlight of the trip, was to meet Gladys Cotham Thomas. I don't know if she subscribes to this list, but if she does, or if anyone out there talks to her personally, PLEASE convey my most heartfelt thanks! She met with me at the library, and she was such a sweet,kind, helping soul, I knew that I would remember every word she uttered. She was full of good advice, tips, and just general info on Casey County, I felt I could have talked to her all day. I'm sure you all know who she is, or at least of her work, so I won't belabor the point any longer, but I am bubbling from my trip, and felt I had to say Thank you! Anyway, I am now loaded for bear. I will most assuredly have new questions for y'all, and new info forthcoming.
