    1. Re: [KYCASEY-L] SURNAMES
    2. Hi, >From what little I know about this line, I was under the impression that the Hite line you're referring to is not the same as my Hight line. patrick Hight, my fourth gr.grandfather, was born between 1761-62 calculating from the pension application papers. He died after 1851, probably in Casey County. in the 1850 Casey County census he was living next door to his daughter Elizabeth "Betsey" Hight McWhorter and is listed as age 83. I do have his pension application papers and his name is spelled Hight and Hite both in the body of the document. I've tried to find where he is buried but have no leads at all. Patrick Hight was a pioneer of Casey County and was a wheelwright. His father was John who was born abt. 1725 in Virginia. Patrick married an Elizabeth but I do not have any idea what her maiden name was. I could sure use any help you can give me. I'm very curious about this line since I have it on my mothers, paternal and maternal lines. I also have John Hight, Sr. who married Elizabeth Camden in Virginia on March 11, 1812. John Hight, Sr. is the son of Patrick's brother Matthew. Thanks, Phyllis
