Annette, I've run across a lot of French names in my research, but with no connections. I was told that East & West French Avenue in Burnside, KY (Pulaski Co) was named after the French Family. It shows a members of aFRENCH family one of whom has a very special name: BERRY FRENCH. This is obviously a child who died soon after death; however, it is the common given name in the French family I am tryying to trace. My ggggrandfather was William French who had four children, all born in Casey County: James Berry, John H., Mary Elizabeth, and Agness A. William was a casualty of the Civil war and I can find nothing on his lineage. Do you know anyting about this family? As a matter of information, most of my maternal ancestors were from in and around the Yosemite area. Thanks again, Annette Smiley Hiwaay.net Researching: Toms, Gilpin, French, Cundiff, Roberts, Harris, Shackleford ****************************************
