Sorry. I made a serious blunder in my first message. Should have read "....died soon after BIRTH". Had two glasses of wine with dinner this evening. It shows a members of aFRENCH family one of whom has a very special name: BERRY FRENCH. This is obviously a child who died soon after death; however, it is the common given name in the French family I am tryying to trace. My ggggrandfather was William French who had four children, all born in Casey County: James Berry, John H., Mary Elizabeth, and Agness A. William was a casualty of the Civil war and I can find nothing on his lineage. Do you know anyting about this family? As a matter of information, most of my maternal ancestors were from in and around the Yosemite area.
