About 1945 -50 the village of Yosemite had four groceries,and four garages. There was Jimmy Elliott's[Coffey's Store], Short & Moore's [earlier Bill Tom Royalty], Falconberry's,[Noble Wesley's old store] and the new Ernest Ross store. The garages were Staton Bros., Estil Brown's and a smaller one in part of Ross's Store, and Buck Jones and his son ran one in the back of Jone's Auto parts.
