I am reserching my direct line CHAMBERS in central Kentucky. Counties of Taylor, Green, Adair, Lincoln, Russel, Washington, etc. (Where ever the search leads.) The information that I have is very limited, mostly from census and other county lists. Following is a summary. Can anyone please help fill in the details? Lafayette CHAMBERS and Susan DICKERSON were married in Lincoln county, KY in 1859. They had 4 children, James, Sally, Florinda, & George. 1. Only info on James is his death in Lincoln co in 1925. 2. No info on Sally 3. No info on Florinda 4. My ggf, George was their last of child, born in 1865 in Pellyton, died 1927 in Taylor co. . George was married twice. I have no information on his first marriage. I obviously am descended from his second marriage to Mary Ellen PETERSON. (The Peterson tree has already been fully documented and published.) Lafayette's family is listed in Adair 1870 census, Neatsville district. Only Lafayette is listed in Adair 1890 census. Lafayette's wife Susan Dickersion is named along with her 2 brothers/1 sister in a newspaper article in "The Adair County News" dated 1901. Key items I'm looking for are: Who were Lafayette's parents? He may have been born in Washington co. Who did James marry? Children? ... Did Sally and Florinda marry? Who? Children?... What/who/where info on George's first marriage? ... Elijah King) 11/30/1852 Sarepty Chambers and John D Coffey -------------- Will of George CHAMBERS is recorded at Adair clerk's office also. Wife Elizabeth (no Surname) No mention of children. Other Chambers (Allen and Betsey, from above marriage list) listed as making purchases at estate sale. I do NOT know if these Adair CHAMBERS are related to Lafayette's family. Thanks for any info.
