I am glad someone is working on the Elliotts. I haven not been, but I did get to Shelby County and found the marriage record of Esther to Joseph. Sue was Easter Hambleton on the license. Date was 27 Aug 1797 and, "Willim Elet" gave his permission. (to the clarke of the county pleas to let the bearer Joseph Williames have licens for my daughter Ester given under my hand and seal). Esther Ester etc must have been still under age or why would she have needed her father to sign for her. The marriage to the Hambleton (Hamilton) was not there in Shelby Co, Ky. that I could find. Any clues about that? I am glad you mentioned William. I had forgotten about that and I think probably Esther and Johnson Elliott will be brother and sister. Any thoughts? Brenda Waters
