My family is from William Gilpin, son of Eli. As a matter of information, William and James married sisters whose mother was a Roberts. Both lines subsequently intermarried with the Roberts again. It is amazing with all the intermarriage that we can all walk upright; however, I am pleased to note that many have gone on to successful careers, and college degrees abound. It must have been hardy stock. If the families you are seeking are from Trace Fork, and are buried in the Trace Fork Separate Baptist Church Cemetery or the Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, they are clearly related to my Gilpins and Roberts. I had heard my stepgrandmother, Minnie Gilpin Toms, speak of the Wickershams many times. I have no information on that line since the Wickershams appear to be the only family in Trace Fork to which I am not related.
