In answering the Haggard question, I have information on a James Haggard marrying a Lucy Brown in 1790 or 1791 (I have information on both her and her sister but right now without the data in front of me I am not sure of the year. But both marriages were recorded in Lincoln County. I also have an Eason connection, both of these families ended up as being listed in Garrard County after statehood. I have been trying to locate Lucy and James (actually any descendants) because it might be a clue as to what happened to Lucy Brown and siblings. Their father was Benjamin Brown early Madison, Lincoln County then later Garrard. My Eason connection descended through William Poe and Jerusha Brown m. 1785 also in Lincoln and later Garrard County. These early children of William POE and Benjamin Brown disappear from the 1810 census of Garrard could the Haggard and Easons you are searching for be one and the same.
