Hello, again: Yes, I do still have relatives and many friends in Cincinnati. I was there in June for a very sad funeral (in Indiana) and I will be back in April. As to the WHITAKER family name...I do have a very early connection from VA - 1825 ~ 1855, in my file. I do not remember anyone in Ohio. I grew up in St. Bernard. Vine Street was the main line from south to north. It seems like most people from Casey Co. came to the Elmwood / Carthage area starting in the early 1930s. That may have had something to do with the Ohio River flooding in about 1937, when more people left the farming areas of KY. Downtown Cincinnati was under water and the upper areas were not as close to the river. Right now, that area has become a devastated area for some reason. I really was saddened to see the deterioration of both towns. The industry and the churches have changed tremendously. Thanks for checking in again. Dixie (SCOTT)
