I just heard about this family a day or two ago. Note that he was a SCOTS-IRISH. I have been looking for a man by the name of WILLIAM GADBERRY who was born about the same time, c 1760. He was in VA and on to NC, Lincoln County. He had a large family in that county in 1820. He seems to have moved on the Mecklenburg County, NC where he died about 1830. Some of them finally arrived in Yazoo County, MS and we are still here after 180 years. After all of these years of looking, I have found two quotes from two of his grandchildren in which they said "My background is Scots-Irish." Another one said "I am proud to be a red headed Scots Woman. And so I am wondering if these two men were not brothers, or at least cousins? All I am shopping for now is something about the old, old GADBERRYS, nothing about those later ones. I will certainly repay you for your postage and copy costs. I have been doing genealogy for 65 years, and think that I will like it once I learn how! Gratefully Harold C. Fisher 512 Kings Row Yazoo City, Mississippi 39194
