Hello everyone. I just subscribed to this list to ask what I hope is a simple question: Can anyone enlighten me, or point me to a resource that can, about the origins and naming of the town of Clementsville? I am curious because some of my surnamed ancestors came through this part of KY in the latter 1700s (apparently Green Co., much divided since then of course), stopping long enough for a few marriages and births, on their way to points elsewhere (north Alabama in my case). I noticed a complete lack of any reference to the surname on the Casey Co. GenWeb site, so was wondering.... Many thanks. -Terrill Clements
