    1. Re: [KYCASEY] William George Bailey and Ellen A. Smith, Yosemite, KY
    2. It is my deduction that William G. Bailey and Jack Bailey are one and the same. Looking at the Census reports - The 1880 and 1900 census reports show our William Bailey and William G. Bailey as living with Ellen and various sets of children. Then in 1910, he is listed as Jack but still with Ellen and always as some form of shoemaker. The birth dates and places through the various census reports remain pretty close to the same. I believe that the 1910 census enumerator simply used his nick name "Jack" instead of a more formal William. Also William George and Ellen Bailey are listed together on the headstone at Green River Christian Church Cemetery (although the stone is too new to be an original). So far I haven't found any references to William G.'s father.
