Sonny, Thanks for sending me you Stanton file. I sure wish good old George White had not died in 1824. There is not much of a paper trail for him. I have to do a process of elimination with names. Can someone tell me something about this. I received the will of George White and some other documents from Harrodsburg-Mercer Historical Research library. I was lucky enough to get the indenture paper of my George Washington White ion 6 Sept 1824 to Elijah Webster. He d. in 1826 in Mercer Co. KY. I sent back to the library for other indenture papers for other sons of George White (d. 17 Feb 1824). I was sent a letter stating that they did not have this info at their library. Well, I had gotten the other things from the library pertaining to George White, who lived in Forkland, Casey Co. Ky, when he died. Would some of these papers be in Mercer and Lincoln Co. KY? George Washington White was my 2nd great grandfather. I am sure he first m. Lucy Ann Baker in Owens Co. IN in 1846---then Sarah Meloni Turner in Crawford Co. IL in 1851. I have no proof for Lucy. There was a "no return" for marriage for them. I am thinking they were both legal age and info would be slight---if I did find a record. I plan to write to Owen Co. IN. George White's will was probated in Mercer Co. Court in March of 1824, but he was living in Forkland, Casey Co. KY. I thought Mercer formed from Lincoln and Casey about 1848. What am I missing? All I know for sure at this point is that he was m. to Eunice Dungan in Washington Co. VA on 12 Feb 1795---and several Dungans were in Pulaski Co. KY----and some Borden lines. One John Dungan was in Mercer Co. KY in 1810. One Galen E. White m. in Casey Co. KY to Emily Jane Spaw. Could there be some relationship here with Isaac White and Ann Reed White----came from Pulaski Co. KY and is in 1820 Casey Co. KY census. George Washington White's documents (in IL) show his father was b. in NC. George was at least 55 in 1820 Casey Co. KY. So he had to have been from 1765 and back. Thanks, Shari
