Does anyone out there know of a tie between the Crockett family (of Davy Crockett fame) and the Peyton family, or the family of Granville Johnson of Casey County? My family was brought up through generations to believe that Davy Crockett's daughter, Polly, married Vince Peyton, and their daughter, Polly Peyton, married Granville Johnson. Apparently there was a mix-up in the names, or a tall-tale that has been passed on for over 100 years. I am trying to solve all of this before the "older generation"--now in their 70s and 80s--are no longer around to find out the truth. If anyone knows of a tie between the two families, I certainly would appreciate knowing about it. I keep hearing rumors, but have no proof. HELP!!! Rindy Walker

Elizabeth MILLS and Benjamin Sharp were parents of a large family. He had been married twice before. Most of their children were married by Mills ministers. I know nothing of Elizabeth Mills parents or siblings. Do You? Elizabeth and Benjamin are buried at Brush Creek Christian Church Cemtary. She was born 1811 and died 1890. ( Conflicting places of birth on census and son's death certificates) Any Mills information would be appreciated. Thank you. Judy
Re your email about any TURPIN married to any MUSE. My husband's grandfather Christopher Cage Muse m. ? Turpin. He believes this Turpin lady had a son when she married C.C. Muse who took the Muse name. My husband doesn't know when the marriage took place but C.C. Muse was born around 1854 He also married Mary Davidson and Minnie Calhoun. I would appreciate any information on Mary Davidson as she is my husband's grandmother. We do not know where her family came from or her mother or father's names. Thanks Dorothy Henderson

The numbers at the end stand for book and page number; if you find on in book 1 all it will give is who married the couple; if it is in book 2 or 3, let me know and I will see what else I can find on the film for you. I was wondering if anyone had access to a book that list Casey County marriages. I was wondering if an Esther Spradlin and William Brown were listed (possibly 1935 or 1936) thanks... Vicky
Does anyone on this list know anything about Washington County KY web page. I keep getting a message that Netscape cannot find it. Is it down? Thanks. Hazel
