Larry, I also don't have one compiled, but would love a copy of the Gedcom. If that is not OK, please let me know. Thanks in advance, Ellwyn L Worley ELWorley@Worldnet.att.net
Hi, My grandparents and great grandparents are buried in the McKinney Cemetery. To get there from the Highway that leads from Stanford to McKinney, turn right and go over the overhead RR Bridge and just follow that road, it isn't very far, it will be on your right. I hope I could help you. I know this direction is confusing, but McKinney isn't very big. There's also a restaurant there that used to be the old train depot. Anyone there will know where it is. It's kept up very well. I was there last summer. Barbara Reed Danville, IN Bfestes@aol.com

Dear Larry, I appreciated your explanation of your gedcom! I've just begun my search. I do know that my Grandfather, Clay Snow, son of Winston & Catherine Snow originated in NC. They came here from England as "Snowden" and dropped the "den," thus Snow. I'd surely like to have a copy of your Gedcom and will be glad to share anything else I learn. Thanks Barbara Reed Danville, IN Bfestes@aol.com
Barbara, My great great great grandmother was Martha Ann SNOW. She was born about 1830. I don't have proof of her parents were, but I suspect they were Martin SNOW and Hannah EAST. Martha married 3 times: 1. George DOUGLAS, sometime before 1850 2. John S. DURHAM, 1859 3. John M. HOGUE, 1889 Do you have any information on her and her parents? Nancy Hume kidd@gte.net researching: SNOW, DOUGLAS, MINTON, GADBERRY, HEANY, HATTER, KING, HUMPHREY, JONES, DURHAM, HOGUE
Larry, I would also be willing to send my GEDCOM at a future date but haven't gotten organized yet. I would still like a copy of the GEDCOM if possible. Thanks, Steve Brewer brewer@fuse.net
Annette, I've run across a lot of French names in my research, but with no connections. I was told that East & West French Avenue in Burnside, KY (Pulaski Co) was named after the French Family. John -----Original Message----- From: Jerry and Annette Smiley [SMTP:asmiley@hiwaay.net] Sent: Wednesday, November 04, 1998 9:40 PM To: KYCASEY-L@rootsweb.com Subject: RE: [KYCASEY-L] Green River Christian Church Cemetery John-- Thank you so much for posting this cemetery. It shows a members of aFRENCH family one of whom has a very special name: BERRY FRENCH. This is obviously a child who died soon after death; however, it is the common given name in the French family I am tryying to trace. My ggggrandfather was William French who had four children, all born in Casey County: James Berry, John H., Mary Elizabeth, and Agness A. William was a casualty of the Civil war and I can find nothing on his lineage. Do you know anyting about this family? As a matter of information, most of my maternal ancestors were from in and around the Yosemite area. Larry, I tried to send my GEDCOM a couple of times this afternoon; however, I get responses from the system administrator advising that the attachment failed to convert to internet format. I have not had this problem before when transferring files. Is anyone else running into this difficulty, or am I stretching the limits of my hometown service provider? Larry, I've been trying to follow your directions to do a GEDCOM but have had no luck! I've been trying to do this off and on for the past six months. I seem to have a block! I would like a copy of your GEDCOM when you get it all merged and I'll send you a GEDCOM when I can get it figured out. Sorry Phyllis Peterson Nabagamon@aol.com

Larry, Please send me the combined gedcom. In return, as soon as I add a few names to my database I'll send you one, that's if I can figure out how to export one. Hi, Hopefully you can provide some much wanted answers. James Johnson had two sons that you listed, did he have any others? I ask because I am trying to find the parents names of relatives that lived in the Wayne Co./ Russell Co. area. They are siblings, although may have different mothers. Melvina Johnson married a McGowan Rosenna Johnson married a Gosser Jim (James) Johnson Charlotte (Lottie, Lott) Johnson married a Stephens Tom Johnson Have been told that Melvina and Charlotte were half sisters, Charlotte being the elder. Melvina was my greatgrandmother, on my mom's father's side. And Charlotte was my ggreatgrandmother, on my mom's mother's side. A little confusing I know. If you can be of any help, would greatly appreciate it. Hi Phyliss, I notice you have the HITE surname in your genealogy. We believe your HITEs may have come to Casey County from Frederick County, Virginia, along with our ALLENs. Jost HITE brought the first German and Scotch_Irish pioneers from Pennsylvania into the region around Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia in the 1730s. Good luck, Bill and Loydean ALLEN end -----Original Message----- From: Nabagamon@aol.com <Nabagamon@aol.com> To: KYCASEY-L@rootsweb.com <KYCASEY-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Friday, November 06, 1998 5:20 AM Subject: [KYCASEY-L] SURNAMES >Hi, >I thought perhaps I should give the list the surnames that I am researching in >Casey County.
Hi Walter, just a shot in the dark........I have a friend in Houston TX that is related to the Overstreet family....could you give her a message re: your family??? Spice3@Juno.com Susan Buckley (aka Bucky Bob or Buckette) Hal, from sunny AZ
Hello Paula, and I will try to answer your questions. James Johnson was born 1785 in VA. and died in 1850. He married Rebecca Farris March 8, 1803 in Pulaski Co. KY. Rebecca was born in Lincoln Co. VA. , and her parents were Nathan Farris and Mary Vaughn. Rebecca died in 1850, in either Pulaski Co. or Russell Co. KY. I have more on James, from the WFT. VA. family CD set, so I am not 100% sure it is accutate as it was entered by someone in VA. The children of James and Rebecca, as I have them listed were, Peter K.-- born 1803, and died 1870 Frances Asbury -- born September 1805, and died September 8, 1865 Malcom-- born 1806, died not listed Robert -- born 1807 , died not listed Green -- born 1808 , died Not listed Martha Patsy -- born 1810 , died not listed Wesley -- born 1819 , died not listed. As I said, most of this early information was taken from the WFT , so I can`t say for sure that it is accurate. The information I gave on George Washington I am sure of, because he was my wifes G. Grandfather, and I know where he is buried. I hope this is of some use to you, and you may want to check the Johnson book out at the Wayne Co. library in Monticello, as I think some of his early information came from the WFT CDs as well. Good hunting, and if I can be of furthur help, please let me know. BOB
