Hello from Oregon --- I'm trying to figure out if the Walker B. Overstreet in the 1850 Casey County KY census (b. 1805, VA) was the father of my America Jane Overstreet (b. 1830 KY, m. 1850 Casey County KY to Daniel Alfred Lane, d. 1894 Barry County MO). I have the 1810-1840, 1860 & 1870 census on microfilm but I don't have access to indexes for the 1860 & 1870 census. Could someone please send me a list of the Overstreet households in both the 1860 and 1870 Casey County KY census so I can find the information on microfilm. I can do look ups in the 1850 & 1880 printed Casey County KY census, Ingmire's Birth, Marriage and Death records for selected years in Casey County KY and the Kentucky Death Index 1911-1996 for Casey County KY deaths. Hi Everybody, I have the large file ready but am waiting on a few promised late files. If I send the file early it will not include all available info. It will be big, about 32,000 people and be about 1.4 meg in sige before opening it in your family tree program. After opening it in your family tree program expect it to expand to about 15 meg. I am enclosing a list I have compiled of the people requesting the file so if you have decided not to recieve it please let me know so that I may delete you before I send it out. The list is compiled from email address taken from the Casey list so the list is not open to capture anymore than just being on the list is. This list looks great and I hope everyone enjoys it. Her parents got married in Casey Dec 14, 1887. That is Elizabeth Napier Coffey, her parent William and Rachel. It was William Coffey and Rachel Polston. And they got married in Casey. Also Elizabeth was born 11-23-1897. Does this help? Louie4me@aol.com

I checked the Casey County Marriage book for a Napier marriage to a Watson but there were none listed. I only have the 1850 and 1860 Census. Maybe someone has the 1870 that can help you with your grandmothers parents names. Sorry....good luck, Phyllis

HELP! I have some very old photos of George M. McAninch b.1847 d. 1830 with his wife Sally Spears McAninch b.1854 d. 1920. I think these photos are from before 1910. I need help identifying the others in the photos. James M. Camden and his new bride Carrie McAninch are in one of the photos. I also have a photo of an older lady in a long dark dress standing in the entrace to Kidd's Store. I suspect this could be a McAninch but I'm not sure at all. And last but not least I have photos that I think are class pictures from the Stapp School on Rt.127. If anyone thinks they may know who these folks are let me know and I'll send an attachment. I'm afraid I do not have much to contribute to Mr. Swiggett's search, but quite possibly he can help me in my search. My gggrandmother was Sarah A. Belden b. 1864. I have been told but been unable to confirm her parents were James O. Belden and Margaret J. Swiggett . Quite possible Mr. Swiggett and I have a connection. Much appreciation for any information anyone can provide.
In the Casey Co. Birth book, I find the following on p. 49: 12/11/1874 Child, Thomas Swiggett, male, alive, was born to John W. Swigget, father and Aeiaurs, mother. Residence Casey Co. In the Rice, Goff, & Mason Marriage Book, I find the following marriage: Swiggett, Thomas married Ovie Wilcher 23 Dec. 1903 Hope this helps the gentleman.
