Larry, I'd like a copy of Dr Wesley's file when you get around to it. I sincerely appreciate what you are doing with these files too. Thanks, John Carter -----Original Message----- From: Larry Witt [SMTP:photo@som-uky.campus.mci.net] Sent: Wednesday, September 30, 1998 6:30 PM To: KYCASEY-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [KYCASEY-L] gedcom Hello and Happy New Year to All, I have had my computer disconnected for a while. I'm sorry if I have been slow in replying to anyone's email. I will work on that in Jan. A few people have asked for individual gedcoms instead of the big one. I will send out these gedcom to those who have asked for them in about 2 weeks. I have even added 4 more since the big file went out. The late Dr. Lewis Wesley's wife Elaine has to be one of the kindest souls in this world. I just recently met her and she was a very sweet lady. She allowed me to copy her late husband's family tree program which contains almost 7000 Casey people of which abt. 4000 are Wesley's. She wants me to make it available to any interested person and to place a copy in the Casey Co Library. As soon as I can make a gedcom of the info I will pass it on to anyone who wants a copy. I was happpy to discover it contained one of my brick-wall people. I'll keep everyone posted on the progress. Happy New Year to All!!! Best Wishes, Larry Witt 3271 Hwy. 39 Somerset, Ky. 42503
I found a Church and Cemetery Locator ................................http://w3.onenet/~durp/locator/locatorq.hmt................And in Casey Co. There is a PHELPS cemetery, located on the // 'Oscar Rader farm at the head of Henson creek, on the south side of the road off Hwy. 910. Could anyone tell me names that are listed in that cemetery? Are where I could get a list. Margie Phelps Covey.................from west texas.....................

Larry: I would very much like to have a copy of the big gedcom and the additions if that is possible. You are so kind to have gone through all the trouble of putting this together. I would be happy to send you my information except for two things. 1) I don't know how, and 2) I am fairly new to this and when I started I did not document my sources and in some cases relied upon data from others. So it may not be all that reliable. I will, however, be more than happy to send it when I have verified and documented all my findings. Let me know how you feel about this. Hope you will have a wonderful, happy and prosperous new year. I am searching for information on the Wilkinson family from Casey County and presumably Virginia. My husband's g-g-grandfather was Booker Wilkinson born c. 1801 in Virginia and mentioned as grandson to James Wilkinson in his will in Casey County in 1818. I have received information that he is perhaps the son of Royal Wilkinson b. circa 1780 and Sarah Bricken. I am also trying to find the names of all of Royal's children by his first wife, Jenny Dean of Washington Co. KY. My husband is descended Nathaniel H. Wilkinson b. circa 1860 from his second wife, Eunice Farmer, b. 1819 in Taylor County KY. They were married in 1843 in Marion Co. KY. I believe that Nat and his half-brother, James, married sisters--Elizabeth and Mary Catherine Cox. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. Shannon

Hi Everyone. I guess I joined the list here a bit late to get information on where to download the gedcom. Would love to have it. Please tell me where to find it. I guess Larry is the one who constructed it, or is it's keeper anyway, so in advance, thank you Larry for providing it. I would like to know it's size. Will I be able to store it on a Zip Disk? Or need I make room for it on my HDrive...also, if there is any history on it, I'd be interested. Being new to the list, I'd like to know if there is anywhere where the archive messages can be found and viewed. Thank you and blessings on you, one and all! Christen A.
