I have know dates whatsoever for Roda or her husband. I believe that they lived in Casey Co., however I could be wrong. I do know that my grandmother Mary M. Goode was born in 1904 in Casey County. Her parents were Basil F. Goode and Lena Wethington. However, I am not sure were Basil was born. I will conduct my search more in Adair County. Thanks for your help. Lynne Dutton

Cenia Peyton died in 1910 and is buried at Wilson Ridge Cemetary in Casey County, if this helps anyone. Christy
Linda: I also have the photo of Cenia Peyton Cochran sitting next to a young girl who is standing; rather, I have a xerox copy of it. Was told by the cousin/researcher who sent it to me that the child's name was Ova Collins. Would it be possible for me to get xerox copies of any photos of Cenia you have, other than this one? I'd be happy to send you money for copying/postage, etc. Christy
Jessie, I am also researching the Cochran line. Brice and Cenia are my great great grandparents. I do have so photos of Cenia and some of the children but nothing of Brice. I have a photo postcard of Cenia with her writing to one of the children on the back of it. I have nothing on Isabella though, the Children that I have are as follows: Mary E. Cochran, b. 1862, Nancy A., b. 1865, Sarah A., b. 1868, Lorenzo Dow Cochran, b. 1873, Lucy C, b. 1873, Amelia Gay, b. 1876, Mariah E., b. September 1879. Seems like we all are related to the Peytons , would like to exchange information on that line, Bob
Hello linda , Peyton is my line , would like to exchange information with you on them, Bob
Hello, I found a Brice Cochran listed in the 1850 Census , his parents were Samuel 37 listed as a shoemaker, Polly 32 who spins . Siblings and Brice are Asel- 14 , Brice - 12 , Preston - 10 , John - 8 , and Nancy - 6 . Brice was not listed in the 1860 census for Casey Co. Marriage records show Brice married Cena Peyton 2/?/1859. It would appear that after their marriage they moved from Casey Co. before the 1860 census was taken. I hope this is of some use to you, Bob
Hello Lynn, I looked at the Casey Co. census books 1850 , 1860 , 1880 , and the marriage book, and did not find a Roda Peyton listed. Several Goode`s were listed but none with the spelling you gave. You did not give me a time frame to look at , so this is the best I can do. Are you sure they were from Casey Co. ? I`m sorry I could not help you more, have a good day, Bob

ALVIN LOWES HONORED ON 60TH ANNIVERSARY (1970-Ottawa, IL Newspaper) Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Lowe Sr., 723 Union, Sunday were honored at a celebration marking their 60th wedding anniversary. The observance, in the home of the celebrants son and daughter-in-law of Norway, came as a complete surprise to the couple. Mr. Lowe is 80 and his wife is 78. Scores of relatives were among those present in addition to Mr. & Mrs. Lowe's nine children, 32 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lowe prior to her marriage, was Pearl Edwards. She was born in Casey County, KY, and her husband's birth place was in Taylor County. Both are keen of mind and retain a sense of humor. Mrs. Lowe laughingly told of the days when muddy roads in her area when she was barely over 18, were impassable at the time she and her husband had planned to be married. She said: "You will not believe this. But do you know, the roads were so muddy that no one could get out of them. So we were married in a buggy!" The Lowes have lived in Marseilles 48 years.
I'm looking for more information on Hugh Chambers of Casey County and Mordechai Chambers of Pulaski County, in the early 1800's. Both believed to be veterans of the American Revoluntionary War. Looking for parents, siblings or descendants. All help much appreciated.
I couldn't find any Burkett people who married in Casey County, 1807-1915. Here is all the grooms who's' surname begins with the first three letters of your name. The numbers stand for book and page number.
