Does anyone have the Census of Casey County, Kentucky for the year of 1860. I am looking for the RICH family. My GGgrandmother was Harriett Ann Rich, she was born in Fentress County, Tennesse about 1844. She married George Washington BARLOW in Casey County, Kentucky in 1866. I have a CD for the 1860 Census, but it only list a Jessie Rich, in Casey County page #490. Maybe she was in another County. My CD is only a Index. I know nothing of Harriett "Rich" family. Thank You Roberta
His son James Tilford Goode was the father of Martha Ann Goode, who married John F. Randolph. Their son, John W. Randolph, was my father. I haven't been involved in family research too long, so don't have too much information other than that shared by others. I did find a listing of the marriage of Alfred Goode and Catherine Wethington in a Family Tree Maker's CD entitled "Marriage Index: KY, NC, VA, WV 1728-1850" which says they were married in Adair Co., Ky. on February 2, 1819. I'll let you know as I learn anything new. Bill Randolph
Hello John Alfred Goode my G-Grandfather was born April 3, 1852 in Mo. I have his death Cert. and his father on that is James Tilford Goode who was the son of Alfred Goode and Catherine Wethington, who was the son of John Philfman Fleming Goode and Roda Peyton. Was Alfred Goode who married who 2nd married Mary Ward, name John Alfred? Wilma

Hi Lynn, any tie I would have would be thru the Peyton line, as I don`t know of any other Goode tie to me. I do have good info on the peytons, if you need help there, Bob
Do any of you researchers have access to old copies of or microfilms of Casey County News? I'm looking for complete text of four obituaries, if possible; or at least a survivor list. Trying to fill in some gaps on my nearby cousin lines. Clement Linus Wethington. Born Dec. 1, 1896, died July 12, 1973. son of John Buriah and Demi Ann (Goode) Wethington. Elizabeth (Wells) Wethington. Died Dec. 1975. Wife of Clement Linus Wethington. Would especially appreciate knowing her parents' names. Gregory Wethington. Born 7 Sept 1900. Died 12 Jun 1979. Brother to Clement Linus. Helen (Wethington) Wethington. Died19 Jul 1978. Wife to Gregory Wethington. Thank you! Paula Wethington Rose pwrose@aol.com
Bob How are you related to John P.F. Goode? I'm related by his son John Alfred Goode, then his son Joseph Green Goode, then his son Basil F. Goode to his daughter Mary M. Goode (who was my grandmother). My mother was Flora Jane Marple. Thanks for the information Lynne Dutton
John Alfred Goode is my gggg grandfather. How is he related to you? He is related to me this way: His son Joseph Green Goode m. Annie Elizabeth Wethington, their son Basil F. Goode married Lena Wethington, their Daughter Mary M. Goode married Van Roy Marple. Mary and Van Roy were my grandparents. My mother was Flora Jane Marple. I have very little information concerning Joseph Green and John Alfred. I would appreciate any info you can pass on. Thanks for your time Lynne Dutton
Hi Phyllis-- This is just a very rough estimate, but the picture was probably taken around 1890 or 1900. I am basing that on how old Cenia appears to be in the picture. I'd be happy to send you a xerox copy; the picture was provided to me by another researcher, and I am glad to share it with others. Christy
Yes I would like to have the photos of the Cochrans, thank you Roberta Craig & Linda White wrote: > > Christy and other Cochran / Peyton researchers, > I have scanned all of the Cochran photos that I have, I can send these as > attachments to anyone that would like to have them just let me know. > Linda > -----Original Message----- > From: christy-104@webtv.net <christy-104@webtv.net> > To: KYCASEY-L@rootsweb.com <KYCASEY-L@rootsweb.com> > Date: Tuesday, January 26, 1999 9:29 AM > Subject: Re: [KYCASEY-L] Atwood & Cochran > > Linda: > I also have the photo of Cenia Peyton Cochran sitting next to a young > girl who is standing; rather, I have a xerox copy of it. Hi all. I was wondering if anyone out there would be able to look up a marriage for me? I am looking for info on the marriage of Cosby TURPIN to ada B. WESLEY. These are my grandparents. I know they got married around 1936, but I am having a hard time finding out who Ada's parents were. I was hoping the marriage records would show who that might be. Any help? I would appreciate anything you all could do. Thanks in advance for your troubles! Robert Turpin
Hi Christy, Could you tell me the approximate year of the photo you have with Ova Collins in the picture? My father was adopted and his adopted sister was named Ova Collins. I don't know the year she was born but I think it was about 1905. Thank you. Phyllis
Lynne, John P.F. Goode is my ggg grandfather. The only thing I have in my notes on Roda Peyton is her place of birth as Lincoln Co., Ky., and her father listed as Valentine Peyton. I have their marriage date as December 20, 1797. John died in Marion Co., Ky. and is buried at the family cemetary on the Vitus Clements farm. I don't know if Roda is also buried there. I would be interested in receiving any information you get as a result of your inquiry. Bill Randolph
Hello I don`t have much information on Roda Peyton, but I do on the Goode line. If fact John Alfred is My G-G Grandfather. But I would like to have information on Roda too. Thanks Wilma
Hello Jessie, I am not sure we are talking about the same Peytons. Let me give you a short run down on my Peytons. They were from Casey Co. , mine is Samuel Peyton born May 10 - 1881 Casey Co. ( and all of his siblings were born in Casey Co.) , sibling of Bennett -- 1867 Seany ( Senia perhaps Cerena ) --1870 Mary L.-- 1872 Sarah J. -- 1874 Robert L. -- 1876 Chrisropher C. -- 1880 Asa ( Ace ) -- 1882 Their parents were Daniel H. 11/14/1866 , and Sarah E. Taylor 1847 . Sarah was married first to William Clay Taylor. Most of these Peytons moved to Indiana , and settled in Lawrence Co . , around the first of 1900 . Some are buried in Mitchell In. and Bloomington In. Samuel was my G Uncle. Daniel is as far back as I go , and I was not aware of any of my Peytons living in Indiana in 1830s. I have good files on these Peytons , and will share them with you if we have a tie here . Thank you for your response, Bob
Bob I have that Cerena Peyton Cochran was born in 1837 in Washington County, Indiana and that her father was Bennett Peyton. What was the name of Bennett's father Jessie
