I am researching the Goode family. Live in Daviess Co. Ky
I think that is Roda Peyton who married Fleming Goode. There is a lot of information on her family in the Casey Co. Liberary.
This Valentine Peyton was the son of Phillip Peyton and Winifred Burford. They lived in Stafford Co Va and moved to Amherst Co after Valentine was born @1749. This Valentine rec'd land for his service in the Rev War. His sons applied for and rec'd bounty land, as heirs of their father. Because Valentine was heir at law of his brother George who died in service. All these papers are in the Peyton File in the drawer at Casey Co Library. You can go there and make copies of this and much more, or you can write to the Library and they will make and send photocopies to your home address for a nominal fee. A picture of his original home is also in this file. Hope you find all this as interesting as I did. Judy Edwards Fisk
Hi All, Any idea who the Carter is. I'll bet it is my kin! Be sure to check Lincoln County (McCormick area) and Boyle (Broomfield area). My Carters came from that area and then into Yosemite in Casey. John T. Still looking for my instructions. I have it in my sent mail and need to "crop" the message. I have a Sony WEBTV and not a computer, that is my "excuse". I will get back to you. Judy
Those who have ties to this man and would like to have an e-mail copy of his will (written1830 and proved 1831) WHEN I find my instructions on how to "cut and paste", send me your e-mail address.
I was just writing to those I know of who are researching Goode. Just a minute and I will hit the button. Judy

I would be interested in anything found out about Ruby Peyton who married Fleming Goode. Hey Thorntown, I live on the west side of Indy. Lynne
Bob, I found Brice Cochram in the 1860 Census of Casey County. Even though the spelling is different I believe that this is our Brice Cochran. Linda
Hi Linda, I looked in the 1860 Casey co. census, and see on page 123 the Brice you are talking about. I think you are right. I am developing a good data base on the Peytons and their associated lines. I have been looking at some CDs I purchased on EARLY VA . ( I have 8 of them ) geneologies census, tax records, wills , and military service . The Peytons go back a long ways , 1500s , and their ties to other lines is very interesting. One I have found , that I had seen listed on CRR , is the Goode Family . It takes time to go thru these, but I am making a list of persons , and then looking at the 24 CDs I have from Brauderbun plus the marriage CDs , give me a wealth of information. I just have to figure out who goes with who LOL . If you can send me information on Bennett, Brice, and as early as you can , [erhaps I can find his parents. There are many Peytons mentioned in these CDs but not many of later dates. The Valentine who is mentioned so often in these early records , is from the middle 1700s . How do I get to Bennett from Indiana ? If I had access to the census files from IN. perhaps I could find his parents. I will be gone for awhile , but when I return I will get back to this research. I have been also to the WKU Library , they have all of the KY census, and they make copies of KY death certificates for .15 . It is a wonderful tool , it just takes time to do all of this. I am going to have to organize my time better. Keep in touch, Bob
The 7th U.S. Infantry Regiment originally was formed in Kentucky. The regiment's nickname, The Cottonbalers, stems from the Battle of New Orleans. Some Kentucky residents, including one of my ancestors, joined the regiment while it was in Louisiana. I do not have a roster or information regarding members from any specific county. Regards.
Does anyone have any information on Martha Ellen MASON FAIR? She was born in Liberty 21 Feb 1866 was married @1881-1882(first child born 1883) and died 12 July 1906. .She is buried in the FAIR Cemetery at Walnut Hill. . Her parents I believe are John J. MASON and Mary ? My grandmother never knew her mother as she was very small,3 yrs of age, when she died. . I cannot find a death certificated or anything other than the name on her tombstone and what others have sent to me from Casey Co itself. . If anyone is related to her I would appreciate hearing from you. . All I want is information on the family. Thank you an advance, any information will be gratefully appreciated. . I will share any information that I have on the FAIR BELL and JOSLIN families of Casey Co. . Judy Shamp
Pat, Thanks for the information. It was very helpful. I am actually researching the line of Margaret Walker Eades Gilpin who was married to Elijah Gilpin. Margaret was the younger sister of my gg grandfather, Jonathon Howard Walker and both were from Casey Creek in Adair County, KY. I don't suppose you have any information on her death date. I have never been able to track it down. Thanks again for your assistance. Regards, Tony Walker Kansas City, MO

Hi Everyone-- Looking for info on WILLIAM THOMAS PRICE, b. 08/09/1844. His parents were ANDREW JACKSON PRICE and AMANDA MASON PRICE of Casey County. William Thomas Price married Mary Jane Redmond, and they had a son named Edward Granville Price, born in 1871. Edward Granville Price and his family also lived in Casey County. I have not been able to find William Thomas Price and his wife, Mary Jane, in the census reports and was wondering if anyone could tell me where their household was located. Would also like to know who their other children were. I was told that they ended up in Casey County, but I don't know where they were before that, nor do I have any data at all on Mary Jane Redmond. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks, Christy
