Hi All, I have been getting more queries than I can handle, so I will be forwarding them to the list. I hope no one minds. Bill gave me the idea, so blame him. If you want to respond privately please use the email below. Ellwyn, Of course you are right about the age of Benjamin Sandifer. But the census could be wrong. He would have been 29 at the time of his marriage, which is rather old. I would like to see a later census record to verify this. In 1860 there is a Benjamin Sandifer in Hardin Co., but I could not find one in KY in 1870. I will keep looking. Dorothy, Thanks so much for the marriage records and all the other items you have done for Casey County. I have uploaded the marriages to the Archives page. And it gave me an idea. I have pages of original marriage records that I can transcribe. If each of does this with just the copies that they have in their possesion maybe we can recreate the Casey County marriage books online. That would benefit researchers all over the country. Thanks again Dorothy. Jackie Couture
