    2. I have 1850 Casey Co., KY census and there is no Strunk listed. You might try and find someone with 1860. Or look in Pulaski Co, too. Cheryl

    1. [KYCASEY-L] HELP & MAYBE ANSWERS
    2. Hi.I am new to this list and enjoying things I HAVE READ.I would like to say though that sometimes when a child died at a young age it may not have been documented and sometimes they only have a rock as a stone.Makes this impossible to prove. All we have then is our family story. So much for that.I 'd like to know if anyone has the census for 1850 and 60.I need a look up for STRUNK surname.Seems this family is a tough mystery.Thank you in advance for any help. Barbara

    3. For all you Casey County geneologists, this site has at least 300 million (no kidding!) researchable records including national cemeteries, state records, census records, ships' passenger lists, cemetery listings, military records, and more! To find the KY birth/death records, just access the site and scroll down to the KY Vital Statistics Birth/Death Records 1911- ??. This is a great site! 3. Shannon -- I've gone to this site also but didn't know how to access just Farmers without a name. Actually I was able to pull some but only got the first 35 available and then it stopped and I didn't know how to pull more. I assume you're talking about the KY archive site as 1911 is the magic date. I have recently contacted the aunt that has my Grandparents papers so I may find out something through that. Thanks for your help. I did not know this was on-line. I have to believe that your Russell died prior to 1909 because there is simply not a Farmer who dies in any of the possible counties who would be of the correct age. I checked and double checked, looking for both the name Russell and also for the correct age and county in case he was known by his middle name. I am sorry, but there is no record. 3. Hi Barbee. What I have on Thomas is that he was born in 1813. But he had a son Thomas Ray. Thomas' brother William was born in Lancaster, PA. Other sibs, Phoebe, Letitia, Margarete, Elizabeth. I believe the kids all resided in KY. Sorry, not much help. Lourinda Taylor b. 1800 from Amherst County, Virginia who married James Durham b 1798? They had Lourinda Durham b 1835 who married William Douglas b 1829. Both were born in Casey. I just discovered an old friend was from Casey Co. Lawerence Vest is the son of RAYMOND VEST 1903 and DELLA CHRISTINE WESLEY 1906. I knew him 28 years ago in Boyle Co. This week-end I spent a day collecting more Witt history in Cinn. Ohio. I added about 75 new names to my file including a Danny Keith Brown b 1954 who was married to decendent of my first Casey Co. Witt. Danny was from Casey and wes the son of CONLEY KENNETH BROWN and JEWELL EVELYN WESLEY. My personal project started as a goal to list all of the decendents of James D. Witt who came to Casey Co in 1861 with his father Samuel H. Witt. They were from Hamilton Co. Tn with a 10 year stop-over in Fentriss Co. Tn. Samuel H. Witt moved on to Taylor Co by 1865 but his som James D. Witt stayed and married Sarah Bell daughter of Nancy Carrie Allen and Joseph Abner Bell. I decend from these two people also through my mother's side by Florence Bell who married William Thompson. These latter two people are my ggrandparents as well as Patty Black's, the famed local geneology queen. I hope everyone has a good day today. See ya!!!!
