Hi I am looking for Ben Chester Richardson and wife Fanny B. Clements. Ben was born in 1886, Fanny born 1895, both in Casey County. This is not my lines, I am looking for my Aunt. Her (my Aunt) father, Willie Coy Richardson died in 1951 when she was a small child. Her mother Anna Bell Johnson re-married and she knows nothing of her fathers side. All the above are buried in Willow Springs Cemetery. I am new to the list and I apologize if I am doing this wrong, and thank you for your time. Roberta
Well, I know of at least one branch of the Chasteens who went to Illinois. Another Chasteen went somewhere but I don't know where--sometime before his death in 1919. He married in Casey County and his name was Austin Jesse Chasteen, who was born in 1862 and was known as Jesse. Also know some of the Casey Crutchers went to Illinois and then Texas. Just not sure about Indiana but it makes sense. -----Original Message----- From: CAmador123@aol.com <CAmador123@aol.com> To: KYCASEY-L@rootsweb.com <KYCASEY-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Tuesday, March 09, 1999 1:31 PM Subject: Re: [KYCASEY-L] Crutchers and Chasteens >To Charleen > I am not researching Crutchers or Chasteens but there were families of >this name in the Scott Co., IN areas during the late 1800's. Anybody researching the CRUTCHER or CHASTEEN family? Jesse Crutcher and his wife Frances moved to Casey prior to 1850. Some of their children married CHASTEENS who were from Rockcastle and Garrard Counties, and settled in Casey in the mid-1800's.
To Charleen I am not researching Crutchers or Chasteens but there were families of this name in the Scott Co., IN areas during the late 1800's. Could there be some relations.?
Thank you all so much.I never dreamed I'd have such a great response,This is a wonderful group of people.Bette and Bob I'd love the info you have. You may email me privately if you'd like so I don't clutter up the group.Again thank you all.I'll be more than glad to help anyone with lookups they may need in other counties.I have censuses on Scott Tn and Whitley Ky.Thanks again. Love Barbara

Yes, you are right Walt, on old 127 this little former hub of rail shipping activity was Moreland, NOT Bradforsville. Mr. Strunk's Antique business is no more, tho'. The bldg is falling in. I thought maybe some Strunk relatives might still be in the phone book and could help this Strunk descendant.
I did a lookup and found six companies with the name STRUNK anywhere in Ky. The one mentioned on highway 127 may have been: STRUNK Construction Co 8745 S Highway 27, Burnside, KY 42519-9442 Phone: (606)561-4352 There are also listings for a heating company, a used car dealer, a funeral home, a monument company, and two doctors in the state of Kentucky. Also several pages of individuals named STRUNK in KY. The two best URL's I have for phone lookups are: "http://www2.switchboard.com/" "http://superpages.gte.net/" The switchboard site is really great to search for living relatives. You can search by business or individual names -- either at city, state or national level. But the GTE site will find more business names ususally. No Strunk in Census of1810-1880. None in marriages, deaths and births in Casey Co. I didn't see a Strunk in the cemetary book, either I would suggest trying the Marion Co List.JAF.
On old 127 near Bradfordsville lived a man named Strunk who had an antiques business. I do not know what county this is. Maybe Boyle. Good luck, Judy
Can you check and see if you have any information on a Mattie (martha) Watson. She was born in 1860. In Casey Ky. Thanks Vicki
There is not a listing for STRUNK in the 1860 census for Casey Co. I have some in Wayne Co. who married into the Johnson Family. Bob
Bradfordsville is in Marion County. Joe
