Pat -- If you they want printed copy could you give us an address and name to address it to. I think it's a great idea. Thanks, Pat Oxley Austin, TX -----Original Message----- From: Pat Brooks [mailto:grmabrooks@kih.net] Sent: Wednesday, March 10, 1999 4:53 PM To: KYCASEY-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [KYCASEY-L] Family files Hello: I have often seen others use laptop computers in the library and most of them infact in the research area. the Family file material should be printed copy. It will be placed in a folder and reference cards made for the surnames listed in the file. The family files are placed in the rear of the research area in file cabinets under the initials of the surnames. A great many people use these files of information and make copies of what is of interest to them on the copy machine there. If you have references for the materials included that is always very helpful to the researchers. Thanks for writing :-) Pat
Just wanted to say that I have that list Pat mentioned; I ordered it a few weeks ago. It IS very extensive, and lists tons of very interesting-sounding books, files, tapes, etc. It is worth the six dollars. --Christy
A request has been made for a list of the surnames in the family files; this is a very extensive list. You may obtain a complete copy of the all the material, including the family files surname lists by ordering a computer print-out of the the material in the Genealogy Research Center. The cost is $6.00 mailed, order from Casey County Library, 238 Middleburg Street, Liberty, Kentucky 42539 Thanks, Pat Brooks, Library user.
Great Lynne, I am going to Casey soon. I hope we find them all. (?) Did you need to know where James Tilford Goode who mar. Mary Jane (Polly)Morris is?Judy
P.S. Forgot to mention a floppy disc with the file on WFT format could be used too. We have a computer in the research area with the Family Tree maker program and we now have several of the information disc series. We have the marriage bundles, census records bundles, and wft super bundles one and two as well as the soc. death indexes. Pat Brooks

Was wondering if any of you can tell me where the Vitus Clements farm in Marion County is located. Supposedly, Fleming Goode is buried there. I'm going to be in Casey Co. in April and would like to try and find his grave. --Christy

Hi Pat-- I will be visiting CC in the middle of May (my mother's CC High School Reunion again) and hope to have time to visit the library. What are the library's rules concerning bringing a laptop in order to do direct data entry within the facility? Also, in what form do you want the family histories? I can provide the info either on a floppy (WFT format) or printed as a GEDCOM. I'm passing this to the list to see if someone is researching this family. Please respond to Barbara privately as she may not be on this list. Christy, I would be interested in finding out myself. I tried the Marion County rootsweb mailing list, but never received a reply to my inquire. Alfred Goode is supposed to be buried there also. Lynne
Sorry, I don't have any information on the Moore family of Casey County. I will forward your query to the Casey County list. Barbee; Would appreciate any leads you have to my Phillips. I cannot go beyond Thomas. Thanks. Christen BTW; these people seemed to love to travel
Jim, They are very likely Combest and I looked carefully, because that is what I thought they should be, but the book says Combert and Combes. Before I put this series in the Archives, I will put Combest in brackets, so the search engine will catch it.
