I have her history but can find nothing on John Larkin Blair. I feel his mother was probably a Larkin, that is how he got the middle name. I have no dates on him or location other than he raised his family near Crawford County MO. Probably in Sullivan.

So do I. My current "brick wall" is James Oliver King, born Aug. 1874, Beech Grove, Kentucky. I don't have any other information other than family story that he left home at 12--perhaps ran away--and ended up in Oklahoma Territory where he married and settled down. He is my late husband's grandfather. I would certianly appreciate any help you might be able to provide. Linda

Hi, Osborne Turpin was nephew to my grandmother, Mary Jane Turpin Luttrell. I remember Elias William (who we knew as "Uncle Chuck") My great grandfather was George Riley Turpin, who was married to Nancy Elizabeth Chumbley on 19 Oct. 1877 in Russell County, KY. Unfortunately I have not been able to document any other information on either of them. Other info? Good to connect with you! Michael Parrish Washington, DC
I am very close with Osborne's son Willie Turpin of Harrodsburg, KY. Willie and my father are first cousins but they are more like brother's. Unclie Willie said he did not meet Osborne until he was 19 years old. Willie lived with my great grandfather James Henry Bernard and Susie Bell Luttrell daughter of Marcus and Mahala. I can find Marcus and Mahala all over the census but I never can seem to find any Chumbleys but Elias Britton and a Lee Chumley in the 1900 census with wife Victoria and four kids Kids Loladia ?, Louis, Robert, and John W. Otherwise I just do not see to many Chumbleys in KY. Do you know what counties the Chumbley's are in? My family goes through Mahala Chumbley Luttrell married to Marcus Green Luttrell. Mahala's death cert lists her dad as Elisha Chumbley and mother Nellie Poston but I can not find anything on the two. I also go through the Turpin family with my great aunt, Sara Bernard married Osborne Turpin.. Let's compare.
