Hello Everyone =) Im researching my family tree. Im looking for any info on William B Morgan b 1843. Was married to Catherine Anderson b 1874. They had all sons named Chester, Wm Lewis, Jonnie, and Elbert. All of Casey Co. They show on the 1910 and 1920 Census. Im the granddaughter of Wm Lewis. Lewis was born in 1904 and married Anna Frances Watson, had 11 children. Lewis was a farmer in Casey Co (Liberty KY) Also, William B was said to have had another family (wife and kids) in Whitley City or County KY. Ive been told there was 2 children of that union, a boy and girl. Also, if you would have info on Catherine Anderson, her father was LK Anderson and mother was Sophia Butt-Anderson. Thanks in Advance

The reason I ask is: In the 1870 Casey County KY census in Jenkins pct, there is a James and Elizabeth Gilpin who I believe, but have yet to prove, are in my lineage. They show a Henry R, age 3 who is the subject of my search. HOWEVER..they also have a listing at their household as Thomas Thomas - age 67 in 1870. Obviously the dates don't match yours, but I'm so curious as to why I'd see Thomas Thomas it if was not just a mistake? Thanks, Brenda Geiger

I can tell you very generally that I've noticed Eads and Woodrum in proximity to my line of Gilpins in Casey County (which was in the Liberty area)...each time I'm searching through census images. So...not much help, but they must have mostly all lived near each other. Brenda

I have not been able to get past 1867 or perhaps 1834 with my line. I have Veldora (or Vell Dora) Gilpin, who is my grandmother and reportedly 1/4 Cherokee..she certainly at least had coal black hair! Her parents were Mary Donna Roberts and Henry R. Gilpin. I know Henry was born Januray 1867. I'm relatively certain it was Casey County - the rest of his life and Veldora's young life were in the Liberty area). I THINK his parents might have been James Gilpin and Elizabeth ___. (both born 1834. I've requested a death certificate for a Henry R who died Casey Co at age 81 in 1948. I'm hoping this will link me definitely to james and elizabeth. IF so...do you have info farther back on James Gilpin born KY (county unknown but probably Casey) in 1834? I ask only because you have this data re: the Gilpin name in the area. Thanks! Brenda Geiger / Indianapolis

thanks P.S. Champaign is spelled incorrectly. I was born and raise there.
