I assume that it wasn't unusual. I'm still researching my Bondurant/Goode puzzle and will let you know, Sharon, if I am able to pinpoint Susannah's and Campbell's deaths. Quentin <[email protected]>

A lot of it comes from a book that was given to me by my father Chester Haggard which came to him from his sister Stella (Haggard) Gaunce. It has mostly pictures but also has a few comments. The book is called V. Ware's Picture Gallery 1900-1944. Virgil Ware was married to Pearl Martin who was the Granddaughter of John Green Watson. The book on page 82 states: "John Green Watson" Born August 16, 1834, served in the Civil War, 1st Ky. Calvary Company A. The father of nine children: Elizabeth (Bettie), George, Silas, Huston, H.L., Emmor, Janie, Mack and Eva. Piety Ann (Carman) Watson was the mother of first three, Charlotte Watson (picture page 84) born 1852 died 1907, mother of next five. His third wife, Quintilla, made John G. very happy when she presented him with a baby girl in August 1914. John G. was a few days short of being 80 years old. Virgil Ware was the 1st cousin of my Grandfather George W. Haggard. Hope that helps.

My family is from William Gilpin, son of Eli. As a matter of information, William and James married sisters whose mother was a Roberts. Both lines subsequently intermarried with the Roberts again. It is amazing with all the intermarriage that we can all walk upright; however, I am pleased to note that many have gone on to successful careers, and college degrees abound. It must have been hardy stock. If the families you are seeking are from Trace Fork, and are buried in the Trace Fork Separate Baptist Church Cemetery or the Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, they are clearly related to my Gilpins and Roberts. I had heard my stepgrandmother, Minnie Gilpin Toms, speak of the Wickershams many times. I have no information on that line since the Wickershams appear to be the only family in Trace Fork to which I am not related. If you would like to contact me off-line, I can send you what I have on the Gilpins either as a GEDCOM or "cut and paste" format. Annette Smiley [email protected]

Though I have been searching for over two years, I have found nothing on my grandfathr, William Howard Moran, who may have been born around 1864-70. He married Lillian Scrivens (I know nothing about my grandmother); they had six children: William Howard, Jr (d.), Flora, Thelma, Ophelia, George Howard (d) and David. I beleive my grandfather's family started out in Frankfurt, KY; however he raised his family in Kansas City, MO. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Joetta Moran
