He was born on June 9, 1910 but have no other dates or verifications. This is my husbands grandfather, and we had been told that my husbands mother Vivan had passed away sometime within the past 2 years. Since they were not close, mostly due to the fact that his father raised him he very seldom seen his mother. We know that she was living in Liberty when she passed but I cannot find out anything on her death. The only thing I can think of is that she must have remarried and we do not have the last name. She had a daughter named Rae Jean who is still living in Liberty but we do not know her last name. The last name that we knew his mother went by is Vivian Pyle. Any information would greatly appreciated. Thank You Beverly Patterson

    1. [KYCASEY-L] Haggards
    2. In answering the Haggard question, I have information on a James Haggard marrying a Lucy Brown in 1790 or 1791 (I have information on both her and her sister but right now without the data in front of me I am not sure of the year. But both marriages were recorded in Lincoln County. I also have an Eason connection, both of these families ended up as being listed in Garrard County after statehood. I have been trying to locate Lucy and James (actually any descendants) because it might be a clue as to what happened to Lucy Brown and siblings. Their father was Benjamin Brown early Madison, Lincoln County then later Garrard. My Eason connection descended through William Poe and Jerusha Brown m. 1785 also in Lincoln and later Garrard County. These early children of William POE and Benjamin Brown disappear from the 1810 census of Garrard could the Haggard and Easons you are searching for be one and the same. These Haggrds being the early ancestors. Will share any information I have, including marriage documents. Ilona In Kentucky

    3. >From: [email protected] (Mary in Georgia) >Reply-To: [email protected] Thanks for quick response. I had seen the James H. and Deny Eason entry, but couldnt get it to fit my info. I have daughter, Alma, being born to J.H. Haggard in 1885. I suppose the entry for marriage to Deny Eason could be a typo error, but i dont think marriage to Cora as 2nd wife would fit the info for this James H. Since the birthdate on the tombstone and the age at time of census didnt match, I didnt accept that James H. Haggard as same person as my J.H. Looking thru my notes from the graveyard, I did also see James Arthur Haggard, born 9-6-1890 married to Esther May Haggard in the same area of graveyard----possibly James Arthur is son of Cora and James and brother to my ancestor, Alma Haggard. I'm beginning to wonder if Haggards came from other area to Casey County. Thanks. 3. I'm looking for information on J.H. Haggard, born 1861 died 1937 per his tombstone. Married to Cora Ann (Mason??) born 1867 died 1954. They are my greatgrandparents thru child Ancil Cundiff and Alma Haggard. My father told me many years ago that Cora was 1/2 native american, but he really had no information (or i was too young to realize you have to ASK!!) I am not sure of name/ maiden name of cora/ and have no dates but the above that were on the tombstone. Any information on J.H. or Cora would be appreciated. I dont know of any living relatives of Ancil Cundiff other than my immediate family who have no additional information. On the 1880 census, Josiah says his father is b. VA, and on the 1850 census, Elijah says he is b. KY, also there is no son, Josiah listed, only John F. who is 3 yrs. old in 1850. (1850 Census Casey County is online) but I believe all these Wilson(s) are probably cousins because Thomas Wilson (b. 1765 and m. Elizabeth Wright) had a brother Josiah. Does the library there have the newspapers on microfilm and if so, what are their hours? I'm particularly interested in the Casey Creek area. Those events would be in the Liberty paper, correct?
