Do you know anything about a Mary Hatter who married a John B. Statom. They were from Casey Co. Mary was born about 1827-1828 in Virginia. She is buried in the Popular Hill Cemetery. They had 9 children: George Washington, Rosey Bell, Sophia, Emiley, Minerva, Sally, Alice, Mary, Florence. Any help would be greatly appreciated. JoAnn
Your welcome Roberta. ^i^ Mary in Georgia Mary Shelton Faircloth [email protected] http://community.webtv.net/granmary/family
Roberta; I am using the 1880 census by Sanders, too. On page 133 in that book is a William B. Norman, 32 years old, born TN and parents born TN. Wife Sarah E., 33 years old, born TN, parents both born TN. They are living next door to Nathan Norman, 69 years old Farmer and Cooper, born TN, parents born VA, wife Susan, 65 years old, born TN, parents born TN, also in this household is Elbert C. age 23, son, born KY and both parents born KY and Elizabeth age 26, daughter-in-law, born TN and both parents born TN. (Elbert's parentage has to be a mistake) I'm sure these Norman(s) came out of Fentress County, TN--see the census on line. One deed, is for Reuben and Elizabeth themselves. The other is were Reuben signed as a witness for George. George is Reuben's father along with the other sons who went to Ohio. Let me know what you need. Thanks, Brenda Waters
