I just sent an email to everyone who showed interest last month in purchasing a Carter Co cemetery CD. We are just about ready to go. I need to enter a few more cemeteries, but a rough count looks like about 75-80 cemeteries on the disk. Proceeds from this will go toward the purchase of a GPS unit for locating and marking all the cemeteries indexed thus far and in the future. Any extra will be donated to the Carter Co Historical & Genealogical Society on behalf of our online "community". The cemeteries will be in Adobe Acrobat format (.pdf). This seems to be the easiest to use. If you don't have a copy of Acrobat Reader on your computer already, don't worry; I will have a copy on the CD for your convenience. Also, at Brian Litteral's suggestion, I will add the Carter Co photo album to the CD. (I think it all will fit...vbg). This will be a wonderful addition to any genealogy library(& also will make a pretty neat gift for all those "un-wired" genealogists out there). The price will be $10 US plus $3.20 for USPS Priority Mail. If you are interested & haven't already contacted me about ordering one, let me know & I'll get you the gory details.
