Who is researching the Wilburn Family of Carter County? Family history says that Pheobe Wilburn married James Williams, my great grandfather. All we can find in the marriage records is a Pheobe O Johnson that married a James Williams. But my dad, James Dudley Williams, should know who his grand mother was, stated that her name was Phoebe Wilburn. Could Phoebe Wilburn have married a Johnson, before she married James Williams? The marriage license shows Pheobe O Johnson. However James Dudley Williams passed away in 1987 and we can not longer call upon him for assistance.
