Hi I know that many of you are subscribed to several of these lists that I belong to so I apologize if you get this message more than once. Many of you have seen my searches for the surnames BURNHAM, DAY and GILLESPIE. I am still seeking any information available. I have noticed that every once in awhile our genealogy lists get off on subjects that are not exactly prime subjects for the list. Many members get involved and sometimes it gets out of hand. Realizing that everyone feels passionately about certain issues from time to time and needs an outlet, that we might have a book, table or even a car for sale from time to time or we may want to give messages of support for our local sports teams, I have created lists especially for your general area that will allow you to speak up about most anything, except genealogy, which is prohibited so as not to compete with this list. This is really online talk radio for your area? Have you ever wanted on a particular day to post your feelings on a political issue? How about your favorite sports team? Do you have something to SELL, but cannot post it to this genealogy list? Do you want to make a plea for your favorite charity? Do you have some knowledge about your area that you want to share with others? Do you want to promote your business? Do you have some stock tips? A proven successful at home business? Missing persons? Public Service Announcements? Do you have a complaint that you just have to get off your chest? Do you want to flame flamers? All of these topics and more are fair game on these lists. Both subscribe and unsubscribe are instantaneous and done online at http://www.onelist.com. There is a NOMAIL option that allows you to post, but not receive messages. You also have normal and digest choice. Best of all you can upload files to share with others at the special web page provided by the list. No HTML knowledge required. There are limitations, however.
