Need assistance / lookup for the following: JACKSON CARVER d. 19 Dec 1917 Carter Co., KY. Need burial site...raised on Barretts Creek, later lived near Carter City. .......also: Jackson Carver's daughter: SYLVIA CARVER b. Sept. 1871 believed to have married a Civil War Vet named: " Colonal Sparks" - need confirmed. Sylvia was a widow by 1900, with three children: George -b.1894; Lee -b.1897; & Lisa -b.1900. She was living with father Jackson. In 1906 Sylvia pops up in the Carter Co. Court Orders...having a child named: Albert Carver. Court declared Sylvia a pauper and placed into care of the Poor House. (Albert b. ca 1903) In 1907 young Albert Carver taken from Sylvia and given to Kentucky Chldrens House Society at Louisville, made him available for adoption. In 1914 Carter Co., Court declared Sylvia Carver again a Pauper and she & her infant children sent to the County for health care. Question / Lookup needed: Did Sylvia have "more" children, other than those already listed? What happened to this Colonal Sparks??? Did Sylvia have a second husband or did she have Albert Carver out of wedlock?? What became of Sylvia Carver??? Good or bad, I'd like to know....can anyone help me here????? Jim James F.
