I received a note from a Noland researcher that a DAR Marker Dedication for William Noland, RW Soldier, has been set for September 23, 2000 at 1:00 pm at the Nolen Cemetery outside of Grayson there in Carter County. I haven't seen anything posted about this yet but I know that there are some that are planning to attend this dedication. For those of us that are descendants but are not able to attend - is there anyone out there who would be willing to videotape the dedication, the cemetery, and those Noland descendants that are able to be there? There are plenty of Noland researchers I know that would be more than happy to help cover the cost of making copies of a video tape. And a special thanks to Don Karr and Delores Sarpas for being instrumental in seeing that this Revolutionary War Soldier will finally receive his marker and the recognition from his descendants he so richly deserves.
